Privacy Policy

Draft—legal review required before launch.

This page describes, in plain language, what Meetra uses to run the service. It is a draft and not reviewed legal advice.

Account and profile information

Your email, first name, date of birth (to confirm you are 18+), bio and profile choices. Date of birth is kept private and is not shown to other members.

[Owner/legal review: final wording to be added.]

Optional gender answer

You may tell us how you describe your gender (Woman, Man, Nonbinary, or Prefer not to say), or skip it. If you answer Woman, Man or Nonbinary, we use it only as a modest signal to order recommended plans, after activity, time and distance, so plans hosted by people who share your gender appear a little more often. It is never shown on your profile, plan pages, share previews or attendee lists, and other members cannot see it. It does not guarantee who attends a plan. You can change or remove it in Edit profile, or turn this off in Settings.

Profile photos

Photos are converted on your device to a resized JPEG before upload; the original file is never uploaded, and photo metadata such as location is removed before saving. Photos are stored privately. [Owner review: photos saved before this rule was added are still being checked.]

[Owner/legal review: final wording to be added.]

Interests, availability and neighborhood

Your interests, availability and a broad neighborhood help suggest plans and people. Meetra does not use device GPS or live location for this.

People up for the same plans

When you choose an activity, a time, an energy level and a group size on For You, Meetra uses those choices to show you nearby members who picked something similar, and to show you to them. Other members see only your first name, profile photo and broad area (neighborhood or city), plus the activity and vibe you share. They never see your exact location, date of birth, gender or contact details. They can send you one message request, which you can accept or decline. Blocked members and members you have blocked are never shown. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.

[Owner/legal review: final wording to be added.]

Plans, events and RSVPs

Plans you create, join or leave, and your RSVP status.

[Owner/legal review: final wording to be added.]

Messages and notifications

Plan chat messages, notifications, and whether you have read them. Plan chats become read-only 24 hours after the plan ends.

[Owner/legal review: final wording to be added.]

Direct messages and connected profiles

Members can send you a message request; nothing more is delivered unless you accept. A 1-on-1 conversation is archived after 7 days with no new messages and permanently deleted 30 days after that, unless either of you replies. If a conversation is reported, a copy is kept for Meetra's safety team. You are "connected" with someone once you accept a conversation or have both been confirmed at the same past plan. Connected members can see your bio, interests and any optional social links you add; everyone else sees only your first name, photo and broad area.

[Owner/legal review: final wording to be added.]

Reports, blocks, support and moderation

Reports and blocks you make, support messages you submit, and moderation actions. Authorized Meetra staff can read support messages to handle your request. Authorized staff can also see who sent a report, in order to handle safety concerns. The person you report is never told who reported them. These records may be kept after account deletion. [Retention under legal review — launch blocker.]

[Owner/legal review: final wording to be added.]

Venue suggestions

When you ask for venue ideas, Meetra sends the activity and a neighborhood center (never your location) to a maps provider.

[Owner/legal review: final wording to be added.]

Aggregate metrics

Meetra keeps aggregate counts of feature use. Detailed activity counts are deleted after 90 days.

[Owner/legal review: final wording to be added.]

AI features

Circle Suggestions, which used an outside AI service, is turned off. Since 7 October 2026, Meetra does not send member information to AI services. Before then, members who used Circle Suggestions sent their request and some profile details of people in their Circle (first name, neighborhood, interests and a short bio) through Lovable's AI service to an AI model provider. [Provider retention and use of earlier requests: to be confirmed.]

[Owner/legal review: final wording to be added.]

How exact addresses are protected

Public plans show only a neighborhood. The exact meeting address is shown only to members confirmed for that plan or event, and to the plan's host. Once a plan is paused, cancelled or over, it is hidden from everyone except authorized Meetra staff. Maps show venues, never people.

Retention and deletion

[Retention periods: not yet decided — launch blocker for owner/legal review.]

[Owner/legal review: final wording to be added.]

Account deletion

You can delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account. [Owner/legal review: the full list of what is deleted and what is kept will be added once complete deletion is built. Complete deletion is a launch blocker.]
